Ever walk down the street and see millions of faces you don't know and just wish on the inside that you had the courage to talk to people. As an introvert and shy guy in general, I have struggled with this problem for most of my life and all of that slowly started to change the moment I decided to take initiative and say hi first. No one will wait for you to say it. I found it to be more of an instinct that occurs the moment I lay eyes on a close friend or acquaintance. It helps with easing the tension when our brains recognize a familiar face. If you struggle with social anxiety, this may help you ease those worries but the best way to do it still is to recognize that you need to reprogram your mind to see social situations in a different light honestly.
