Realizing the Importance of Time
Time waits for no one. The time we have in this world is limited. Each person is given a specific amount of time. This is similar to being given a million dollars every morning. However, the choice is up to us how we spend it.
These concepts come into my mind when I think of all the reasons for why people choose to be productive or minimalist. The reality is that everyone wants to make the most of the time we have in this world or in this life in general.
Lately, I've been reading the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey and I learned the importance of the impact we have on others. At the end of our lives, we want people to be talking about the good things we did in this life. We want to be remembered for the value we brought to people. This can be no further from the truth because who actually gets to keep the possessions they have in this life or any of the money, no one. Place your value in your happiness and building memorable relationships. Focus on your "inner circle" yourself. Sharpen the Saw in other words and make sure that you let the people in your life know how much they mean to you.
Problem: Wasted Time
We must understand areas in our life that need improvement. Time is wasted when we choose not to learn and repeatedly make the same mistakes and damage the same relationships. No one wants this in reality so its important to focus on understanding ourself and our own weaknesses as soon as possible to do more valuable things with our time.
I always remember to try to at least be better than the person I was yesterday. The only competition you should have in this life is yourself because everyone is unique and lives their own journey. Live yours and make the most out of it. There's no point in wasting time being jealous anyways.
People who cannot focus because a lot of emotional problems end up wasting time. Analyze your thoughts and constantly challenge them searching for areas of improvement.
It's normal to live in fear of time because truly it waits for no one. Our decisions with what we do with our time is literally placed on the line everyday so all I can say is make the most of it everyday. I do my best to treat each day of this life as the best day ever!
