Why You Should Never Fear Failure Ever
One of the most tempting decisions we can make is to always take the easy route. Literally, saying no to new ideas or activities. I believe this is where the fear should start. We should not feel like staying the same is always the answer to our problems when we come across difficult situations. Sometimes, it's best to take on the challenge head on regardless of what other people think of you. Don't let other people control your decisions and don't let their actions affect you at all either that is where you begin to fail when you're just getting started on a path towards growth.
The ultimate result of failure is growth or defeat. We have the choice to view each setback as a reason why we should no longer try anymore or instead as a reason to keep going and finish what we've started. One of the best parts about failing is that you realize what works and what doesn't. It teaches you how to reframe your next approach towards success. We should not fear failure but instead excel towards it with the goal of becoming stronger and wiser in the end.
For me, lately I've been afraid of what other people would think of me for sharing my fan art and quite frankly I soon came to the conclusion that I don't care. I'm a fan boy and I love many things including art and that shouldn't be something that I should be afraid of sharing with others. In the long run, life is short. What will you leave in this world that may tie people back to you? The person you truly are or want to become. We can't continue our lives coasting by waiting for something special to magically happen. No, we must act and get things done.
The only way you could never fail is if you never moved or made any action in your life. In a world full of so much opportunity right out your front door, I choose to run not towards what other people are doing but towards what I want to do and what I want to make of my life. A failure can only remind you how much potential you have. When you look at the greats, including your friends who may seem as though they are going far in life, just realize that, their lives don't always look like that. You don't see the struggles or failures that came along the way towards taking that nice picture. You never saw the transformation they had to go to become stronger. At some point, we all must realize that trying something new is not the end of the world. You may even realize that you discover your full potential with it. Now go, dance your dance, sing your songs, write that paper, go for that run, and take action towards that goal or project you've been planning and when you reach that moment of failure. Keep going. Or, try again tomorrow. I guarantee that when you 100 years old you'll look back at your life and be thankful that you were not afraid to share with others what gets you excited about this life.
Here is an art project I've been fearing to share on my Instagram because I was worried of what other people might think of me. The result: I did it anyways and posted it on Twitter too. Don't wait, create!
