Wearing Masks

An interesting twist definitely. I remember when I was a kid we use to do these things called "Elocutions" for poetry where we would act them out and I can recall one of my performances involved acting out how humans always wear masks. These ideas of humans being someone else at different times of the day or around different people and scenarios show just how adaptable humans truly are.

Fast forward to the year 2020. We find humans now wearing masks as part of their daily attire. Never in my childhood would I have been ever able to fathom a time like this. Imagine someone teleporting to the future to find out that they had to wear a mask when going out and that social distancing was required everywhere that is public and gatherings are discouraged. They would probably want to leave asap. However, imagine how did the human race grow through that time. Imagine what will be written in history books of our people in overcoming these challenges.

Not many people may want to believe this but despite all the terror and fear in this world especially the current negative views people have towards wearing masks, they might actually learn to enjoy wearing the cloths.

For me personally, I've noticed people turning it into sort of a fashion trend. It now shows personality similar to regular clothing and is also a symbol of hope in my eyes. When I see the mask, I do feel irritant that it has become a sort of uniform of these times but there really is no excuse for their importance. As humans, the reality is that we can only grow from these experiences and create great things.

There is definitely no point in dwelling on the negative.

Similar to the analogy brought forth in the beginning regarding masks in poetry. Masks have given people the power to hide true emotion once again. They can fake happiness or sadness. Whatever we choose to be we should own it and make sure its steering us towards the right direction in this life.
